Many organization create Kubernetes Cluster using Cloud Service Providers, when deploying with GitOps there is metadata and infrastructure to be created first, there are many custom solutions and lack of guidance on how to bridge from Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to GitOps. This talk aims to address these issues and introduce a solution for the ArgoCD community: the GitOps-Bridge design pattern. The GitOps-Bridge design pattern serves as a standard pattern. This pattern includes a separation of IaC, enabling the creation of a Kubernetes cluster with any tool, while providing a streamlined and standardized architecture for bootstrapping the cluster with ArgoCD. The talk will focus bridging Terraform and ArgoCD in any type of Argo CD cluster topology or running ArgoCD as a Service. ArgoCD has multiple ways of storing and extracting cluster/cloud metadata using Cluster secret, Git, and Plugins will show how these get incorporated into the GitOps-Bridge pattern.
